The Tustin Police Officers Association (TPOA) was established in 1972 with the goal of representing our members in employer/employee relations, providing legal representation and providing additional benefits such as life insurance, legal defense, and living trust preparation.  We have since expanded our goals to include a great deal of community and charity work.  As such, In January 2016, we formed a 501(c)(3) non- profit  organization called TPOAcares.

Currently, the TPOA has approximately 100 members including officers, Sergeants, and Lieutenants, sworn to protect Tustin’s 78,000+ residents. 100% of the day to day operations of the TPOA (including member benefits and political action and a portion of our community and charity work are funded by membership dues.

All donations to TPOAcares are tax deductible and since we do not use expensive fund raising companies, 100% of your donations will go exactly where you want it to go.  Your donation will be dedicated to the following programs:

  • TPOAcares Widows and Orphans Fund:  this fund will provide financial aid to families of officers killed or disabled in the line of duty.  Such care includes paying for college education for the children of the officer and assisting with necessary home renovations to accommodate disabilities.
  • TPOAcares Youth Programs:  Youth programs include TPD Explorers, “Run with a Cop” running club, “Knowledge is Power” after school program, and much more…
  • Community Recognition and Scholarships:  This fund includes recognition for our officers and community minded individuals at our annual awards banquet as well as two different scholarships for those entering college.
  • Community Partnerships:  We partner with existing organizations such as Operation Warm Wishes, American Cancer Society, Tustin Unified School District, and more…to plan and participate in events that benefit the community and it’s members.
